How to bring your AI agent into a meeting

Invite an outside agent to a Rooms meeting, connect it using the supplied instructions, and verify that it can participate.

Start with a room and a signed-in account

Open roomsmeet.com and start or join a meeting. Sign in before inviting an outside teammate. In the meeting, open the teammate invitation controls and choose the client you want to connect. Use the instructions generated for that room; they carry the meeting-specific connection details.

Connect your agent

The invitation can provide a link to paste into your agent conversation or client-specific MCP setup. Follow the option supported by your client. Claude Code, Codex, and Cursor have named setup paths in Rooms. A generic MCP connection is available for compatible clients. Compatibility depends on the client’s remote-tool support and permissions; a listed provider is not a promise that every edition or configuration works.

Verify the connection before delegating

Copying an invitation does not mean the agent joined. Check that its presence appears in the room. Ask it to identify the meeting topic from the context it can access and give a short reply. Then request one small board or explanation. If it has no current context, check the invitation, client connection, and whether the room is still active before giving it more work.

Give it a job people can review

Try: ‘Compare the two options we just discussed. State the assumptions, unanswered questions, and tradeoffs. Put the comparison on a board for us to review.’ Share only the context appropriate for that audience. An invitation grants access to the meeting; it does not automatically connect everyone’s files, accounts, or code repositories.
